Cultural Highlights

During the summer months, Primosten hosts many different traditional and exciting festivals and events. Among the most famous and popular events are the Primosten Folk Festival ("Festa i uzance") in the first week of August, the Feast of Our Lady of Loreto (May 10), and the Festival of the Madonna of the Harbor (late July). Additionally, various exhibitions and concerts featuring local artists and musicians also take place.

Trogir – a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The city of Trogir is a historic old town on the Dalmatian coast, just 27 km from Primosten. The unique charm and atmosphere of the city are thanks to the Romans. Narrow, romantic streets lead to historic buildings and squares, framed by a stunning waterfront promenade. In 1997, UNESCO declared the entire old town complex a World Heritage Site.

Split – A UNESCO World Heritage Site

The port city of Split is also close to Primosten, approximately 58 km away. The historic old town, especially the Diocletian's Palace, is a major attraction and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Culture enthusiasts visiting the city will experience a journey back to antiquity. Majestic, powerful columns, squares, and buildings serve as reminders of the Roman Empire.

Statue of Our Lady of Loreto

Above the Croatian town of Primosten stands a famous statue of Our Lady of Loreto. The statue is the largest of its kind in the world and represents a popular pilgrimage site, offering a breathtaking view where, on clear days, you can even see the coast of Italy.
